Just Another Sunset
....but it seems like each and every one out here is so different.
This particular evening, I noticed the little scud clouds that showed up just as the sun was sinking out into the northeast corner of Nebraska were kind of odd. Not odd in that exciting, menacing way one might expect at this time of year. Just....different. There was a sort of 3D quality to them. Maybe. Something different, anyway. Perhaps it was that particular moment of light happening, the fact that they were flying low under the radar, and the sun's dying rays were at just the perfect angle to do something special to them. Maybe it was the colors Nature was providing at that very moment. Maybe it was all of that magic blending in the perfect recipe. The colors were amazing, and the clouds made me think of birds, for some reason.
Whatever it was, I dropped what I was doing (I think it was supper), grabbed my camera, and ran out to try and catch the spectacle. Though I feel the image came out good, it is still lacking a touch of something. It was just a "had to be there" kind of moment. But I felt compelled to share it anyway. Hope you enjoy it!
I am currently working on finishing my upcoming three-part series on this month's Photographer Spotlight. This month's photographer I will be looking at is Linda McCartney. I really enjoy her work, and I hope after I share some of it with you, you will as well.
