"Gateway Arch"

Took this image many years ago, when we first came to live in the Midwest. Have been to the Arch a few times, definitely would love to go again, if they ever complete the Arch Grounds renovation. Entered this image in a local competition (County Fair), and I can't recall if it won anything, It's been awhile, and I haven't dutifully marked all my ribbons as I ought to have. The resolution and evidence of over-editing is horrid, I think, but the print I made from it, at 8x12, printed nicely, and looks good to me, hanging on the wall in my home. I love the composition, and eventually, when they finish the Grounds reno, we will go again, and I hopefully will capture a better recreation of this angle, now that I have a few more miles under my belt and a better understanding of my equipment. In spite of the bad edit work, I do like this one, and like all career criminals, will return to the scene of the crime someday.
